op-rbuilder is a block builder for OP Stack chains, adapted from rbuilder for rollup sequencer block production. Rollup teams run it as the builder behind their sequencer.

rollup-boost is a sidecar for OP Stack sequencers that adds MEV-Boost style external block building to a rollup. Sequencer operators run it when blocks should come from outside builders.

MEV-Boost is a validator sidecar that sources blocks from a competitive marketplace of builders and relays under proposer-builder separation. Validator operators run it alongside their consensus client to receive externally built blocks.

Commit-Boost is a validator sidecar that runs MEV-Boost together with other community-built commitment protocols. Validator operators run it instead of the plain sidecar when they want to take on commitments beyond block sourcing.

mev-boost-relay is the reference relay server for MEV-Boost proposer-builder separation, run by relay operators rather than validators. A team standing up its own relay runs this implementation.

rbuilder is a Rust MEV-Boost block builder that constructs blocks and submits them to relays. Teams that build blocks run it directly or fork it as the base for their own builder.
